I unfortunately was recommended to Acceptance Capital Mortgage to buy my house. It was categorically the most disastrous, dysfunctional, unprofessional, deceptive experience I've encountered. I was continually kept in a deceptive, fraudulent cycle while they delayed and delayed ... ordering not one but 3 appraisals ... the first was ordered before and FHA file number was issued which is totally illegal and fraudulent. I finally dumped them after I was told the reason for the delay was based on the underwriters being a group of private equity investors and therefore not "your average underwriter profile" ... I was approved by a local lender within 20 days.
