#1 Consumer Suggestion
You've been scammed

International lotteries are not legal and are one of the biggest scams. They will send you a fake check that you will cash, and most likely ask for some of the money back to cover fees. After you send the money, the check you cashed will be canceled and you will be responsible for repaying the bank for the overdraft. I would suggest NOT spending any of the money and contacting your bank immediately about the situation.
There are numerous internet articles about 419 and International Lottery Scams that you should look into.
Keep in mind that you cant win a prize in a contest that you've never entered.
I hope this helps and you are not put into farther financial harm by these scammers.
