Every time I purchase 'Ariziona Rx Energy' (Ice Tea in a 23oz. can) - I am charged an extra nickle. The manager says he has to charge extra for anything that says 'energy' on the package and that he pays it to the state of california.
The price , .99cents, is clearly printed on the side of the can by the manufacture. I am charged .99 cents + .05 cents for the State + .08 cents sales tax = $1.12
All other 'Arizona' drinks are $1.08 total
I have never heard of 'State Energy Tax' and can't find anything in the Income Tax Ledger about this.
I think the State should know that they have some extra money laying around.
