Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...
$5,000.00 downpayment on a house kit demanded up front before you even decide on which house kit you will be building. No disclosure that if you didn't order the kit within 5 weeks, your downpayment would be forfeited or as their sales manager Mike Pinkerton said "We'll use it to pay our light bill" They also indicate that another $5,000.00 would be needed to reinstate our order eligibility. Fat chance.

I also went to North Carolina in July of 2004. I met with Mike Pinkerton. He showed me 10 or 12 houses in all price ranges. He answered many questons I had. He showed me all their contracts, they all said if If I bought a house and made a $5,ooo deposit the balance woild be due in 90 days.
I paid my deposit they gave me a bunch of free books and litature etc. I got a free set of blueprints for the house me and my wife wanted. I went home got all my construction cost together. I ordered the house the way we wanted it. I got a construction loan and they sent American Elite a letter of credit for me. They gave me a delivery date,I got the house as ordered, my contractor was very impressed with the quality it only took 7 hours to put up the house.
We were all impressed. I ended up with $86,800 in my house and it appraised for $125,000 which gave me a good profit. We still live in it today. I have since ordered 2 more small houses for resale and make about $30,000 prifit on each. The company seems OK to me?? They have everything in writing and I can read OK. I will probally order a few more of the interest rates do not go up too much. Thanks Otto
