American Freight Mulhauser Rd Liars and Scam Artists Cincinnati, Ohio

Liars, liars, liars-  I bought a bedroom set for my 8 year old daughter from the Muhlhauser Rd. store.  Salesman were great, when you are giving them money.  I received the dresser, headboard and nightstand in the time they told me but when the movers unpacked them, there were holes and nails sticking through the headboard (right by my daughter's head!).  The delivery guys said they couldn't do anything about it and I should contact the store.  When I called the store and spoke to the sales guy that sold it to me, he asked that I send him photos (which I did).  He told me that they would replace it and he would contact me the next week when a new delivery came in.  After 3 weeks, when I still hadn't heard from them, I called the store and was told the salesman wasn't there so I asked to speak to the manager, but he "was out of town".  For the next 2 MONTHS I was told the manager was "out of town"  and when I did finally talk to someone (somewhat honest) they told me the manager was never out of town and I had been lied to.  He said all that could be done was that I could bring the headboard back (myself) and they would give me $100 for it.  It didn't matter that the original merchandise was damaged, ruined and completely un-usable.  Considering I paid $250 for the headboard, I thought it pretty ridiculous that I couldn't receive a FULL refund on a piece of crap that was broken.  Nice racket for them though, making $150 on a damaged piece of furniture.
