To Whom it may concern at The Ripoff Report

On July 7, 2012 while in a disagreement with my former manager, I filed the report on this page against my former employer American Hardship Group.  I was employed as a sales person there.  Bill Ofshlag was my manager, and in reality he is a good and fair person.

I wish to set the record straight as the statements that I made about the company are unfair and not true.  American Hardship Group is an honorable company and I apologize for my inconsiderate actions in making the false statements that I made.

My frustration and anger were personal and had nothing to do with the company.  These are good people to work for and by retracting the false statements that I made I hope to make things right.

JOSH S.

Update - American Hardship Group

AUTHOR: JOSH S. - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, July 07, 2012

Bill Ofshlag, the Director of Operations has refused to pay me the balance of my salary after warning him I will pursue it within all my rights from the law.  Pay periods end on Wednesday and are paid weekly on Friday.  I had to miss work on Thursday and Friday for the next pay period due to a family emergency.  After seeing I was ripped off for the full pay period I worked (Thursday, June 21, 2012 - Wednesday, June 27, 2012) I was paid $180.00 instead of the $300.00 per pay period, therefore ripping me off $120.00

New employees be warned, if you do happen to close a deal make sure you have a record of it, as I had closed a deal and was asked by Bill "Who was it for" obviously they must use an abacus to account for payroll and commissions.  The working environment is horrendous after 7pm when the building they lease office space from shuts off the air conditioning at that time.  Normally employers can pay an after hours HVAC charge of $40 per hour after hours.  Otherwise you work up a sweat after sitting at your desk and have to breathe in stale air and body odor with a room full of telemarketers.

Bill did respond to me via/ email and threatened to call the company attorney, which is Prime Legal Plans (see their own Rip Off Report)  as he accused me of extortion.  I am the one who was ripped off.  I will give a full consumer update on the real fees and process should Bill Ofshlag continue to maintain his stance on failure to remunerate me my full salary.  Stay tuned...
