Like a good many others, I fell into the Credit repair/ credit card Scam, promoted by Ameritrust Financial. They debited my account, for $200.00

I have secured, very accurate information, regarding this company, Address, phone and so forth.

I believe that there is a much larger problem here.

I would be interested in speaking with a lawyer, to consider a class action lawsuit.

Given the number of complaints listed on this site, I believe there is no shortage of complaintants, on which to file an action.

If, interested in further details, you can post your contact information, here, in the form of a rebuttal, or, such.

Ameritrust Financial/ Enterprise Technolgy Group, Dunedin, Fla.

AUTHOR: Suckerfish - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 25, 2008

I have compiled about fifteen pages, of viable information, regarding Ameritrust Financial/ Enterprise Technolgy Group. The worst part of all of this, is their blatant disregard for customers, and the public.
Again, I say, that I believe a class action lawsuit, is warranted.
I have personal, inside information, and knowledge, of there businesses practises. They have numerous complaints filed with the clearwater, Fla., BBB, very few resolved.
I was lucky, I found their banker, and made inroads, with him. I also kept accurate records, of conversations, and had sufficent detail about them, that I was able to put considerable pressure on them, and got my money returned. Yet, I still feel bad about the whole situation, and feel that more needs to be done. Thats why I'm still updating this first report.

Surely there must be a law firm, capable of handling this complaint. Why haven't I been contacted??

babyton, your problem may not be with Ameritrust

Yours maybe with the third party collector. You need to send the 3rd party collector a validation of debt letter (certified) to request the validation of this debt. They have 30 days to comply. This is per the FDCPA and can only be used against third party debt collectors. The third party collector may have jacked the price up or it may be related to interest Ameritrust may have added on to this. It doesn't appear in your complaint that you paid them for the check cancellation. Don't talk to the third party collector over the phone because it is no substitute for the validation letter.

I have also been a victim and would love to know how to deal with them.

I received a letter from a check recovery company saying that I owed them money for a bad check to Ameritrust. I cancelled my payment that I had set up with them and they said that I would pay a cancellation fee and that is all. Now it looks like I owe them 3 times what I told them was okay. What do I do?
