DEEP SEA FISHING it was very enjoyable. A recommended half day excursion setup by our Travel Company - first time out in the ocean fishing. The Captain of the boat was very experienced and it was a great day for caughting fish, we couple of big sailfish but then caught the BIG ONE - 250lb Blue Marlin, which was thrilling, we decided and we're encouraged by the captain to stuff the fish.

The Boat captain co-ordinated the details of creating a contract as we headed into shore - where we were greeted by 3 Mexician, that promptly escorted us to the bank to get them $400.00 US in cash, to begin the taxidermy services. Our fish would be transported to Acapulco.
We left to go back home the next day, with a contract in our hands, a little lighter in cash, but excited about the Deep Sea fishing trip - afterall our travel agent had co-ordinated all on our behalf, we were in good hands.

Now, that we are back home, we find can not get hold of this taxidermy shop by phone, email or fax machine. So we decided to google his contact information and lo and behold - 2 ripoff incidents showed up. We became very concerned about sending any money - no communication, only one way from them they send us 2 faxes and a letter requesting us to send more money.
We were convinced that we needed more confidence in the fact that we would not get ripped off by these taxidermy bandits.
We tried to get some assistance from our Travel Agent - who says they have been in contact with the company and they are waiting for us to respond, but that they will not guantee that we will get our fish. They are saying "they are only responsible for the fishing trip itself not taxidermy services".
How stupid, who checks out and promotes Deep Sea fishing exercution with half the services verified esnuring customer satisfaction and safety.
Currently, we still have not gained any confidence by anyone that if we send the remaining money to this company we will receive our fish. Our Travel company, the recommended shipping company DHL, Federal Express, Airborne Express or UPS, all will not stand behind us and help us send money in trust.
We are truly upset - as this was a once in a lifetime trip and opportunity that now is tainted our trust in Mexican services.
We have also asked our Travel Companay - Signature Vacations to ensure they put a disclaimer on their promoted Fishing excursions to let people know that -IF THEY CAUGHT A FISH AND WANT TO STUFF, MOUNT and SHIP HOME - IT IS BUYER BEWARE. It is the Travel Company's responsibilty to the public to ensure that their hard earned vacation dollars are not wasted by giving false security.

If nothing else becomes of this letter but awareness for other vacationers then so be it. We agree with the other 2 incidents posted that this particular taxidermy shop is a fraud, and that there could be some involvement with the Boat captains too. Vacationers have a right to know that this type of excursion could end up this way.

Thank you for having this site created so that innocent people can be kept informed, media information at it's finest.

PS:
Deep Sea Fishing Excursion for 1/2 day was: $approx $400.00 US
Deposit on the Taxidermy $400.00 US cash
Remaining owned on contract: $967.40 (not sent)
