I got a letter today from Asset Acceptance LLC that states they bought a outstanding debt from Castle Credit they say that i owe $2868 from 1989 when i called Asset Acceptance they said the debt was on my credit report and i have to pay them the money when i said it was not my debt they got rude and didn't want to talk to me any more I do not owe this debt and besides it is 20 years old and even if i did i live in Indiana and the statued of limitions is 10 years on any loan. If anyone has to deal with either company get a lawyer that is what i am going to do.

This debt is time-barred and past the statute of limitations for all 50 states. They are powerless over you other than trying to annoy you into paying....Send them the letter below...that's all you have to do. Don't waste your money on an attorney...you don't need one.
Send them a letter via Certified Mail + Return Receipt (NOT regular mail) stating:
Per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, cease all communications with me about this alleged debt.
This letter has been mailed via Certified Mail with Return Receipt. Receipt of this letter is being officially time stamped
