I take care of my mothers bills who lives in Kansas, and recieved a bill from Assetcare,Inc claiming that she owed a bill to AT&T for a phone number that she has not had in over 3 years.

I pretty much knew that this had to be some kind of scam because at the top of the letter it said that it could be settled for 40% of the bill right off the bat. No collection agency will offer to settle with you right off the bat like that.

I will not pay for this bill and recommend all of you others do not as well.

Asset CareASSETCARE,INC/ NCO Divisions/ NCOP Divisions/ Credittrust/ Inovisions/ Medcir They call several times a week and leave a recording that my son owes a co. and they have sent a letter that they will settle for 50% of 368.32. I called and they are hatefull and I paid one bill last year to this co. This is not on his credit report and assetcare said it was over 9 years old and still open. Their is no such bill.
