***WARNING*** WARNING*** Don't buy a car from Balboa Auto in Denver, Co! They are rip-offs and you won't get a good reliable car!! My son, bought a car from here that almost KILLED him, and he has had NOTHING but problems since he got it. They won't fix it, and they won't place him in another car that actually works. They want him to keep paying for something he can't even drive....Won't do anything to correct the problems.... We have called and called and called even went in to talk to them and it's always the same. "There is NOTHING we can do for you!  They are NOTHING but a slimy car dealership!!!! RUN, RUN AWAY!!

NO OBVIOUSLY YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT

AUTHOR: Loveon - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 05, 2018

You can tell me anything! It doesn't really matter, either way this report stands! There is a lemon law in Colorado and I never said I was looking to file a suit agaisnt them. I wanted them to take initiative to fix a problem PERIOD! If anyone needs to "MOVE ON" it is you. If you don't work for this company there is NO NEED for you to continue to file a rebutal! "MOVE ON" and go about YOUR business.

The only immature person I see here would be you. Maybe you should work for Balboa with your nonsense you would be a great fit there! You are speaking on somethinng you have NO clue of. I never said it wasn't checked out, and you don't know the whole story, but hey, what would I expect from someone that thinks it is ok to sell people JUNK CARS! It seems to me that you are the one beating a dead horse. I filed a complaint against Balbo, that you say you are not a part of so it shouldn't matter to you one way or the other WHAT I DO. Again, YOU don't know what went on with him or the company. So, if you don't work for the company please keep your comments to yourself! Find someone else to harass. I honestly hope you do not OWN a company of any kind, because I see how you would TREAT your customers! There is nothing here for you to see or rebutal against. Now MOVE ON, AND PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS REBUTAL!!!

Missing The Point

AUTHOR: Perry Mason - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 05, 2018

Whether we like it or not, the Disclosure and Buyer's Guide takes the dealer off the hook for pre-existing problems with the car. It is this way in most jurisdictions and also there is no used car lemon law in most states. You have NO CASE and your son did not get killed. Now MOVE ON! Since you do not like what I've said, your ONLY recourse is this worn out, immature "you must work for them" nonsense. When you buy any used car, you get it checked out by YOUR mechanic. If they won't let you do that, you walk out and move on. That's how you should have handled this. There is too much at stake when buying a car. You cannot simply "trust" the seller. You use any means at your disposal to protect yourself. This is especially true of ANY "as is" sale. You are beating a dead horse here. He bought an "as is" car and failed to have it checked out. Case closed. End of story. There's much to be learned from this. Why not do that!

I SEE NOTHING FUNNNY

AUTHOR: Loveon - (United States)

If you don't OWN the company, do you at least work for the company? If not, why are you defending a company that does NOT care about their customers? If it ever came to a lawsuit, trust me I am sure it would not be a "CASE CLOSED" as you say. I understand the issues that my arise, but if something would have happened to him while driving that car, again the company would be looking at more then this report. No matter what the paperwork said. A car dealership that sell cars for consumers should be held responsible (like I said before) somewhat. At least try and work with the customer as much as possible (within reason).

I agree with you on your point that we should ALL be a little wiser/smarter when buying cars. He understood what he was signing, but not knowing they were a "SLEAZY" car dealership and selling crapy cars, he thought he was getting a relaible car from Balboa. As far as consumers having common sense, again I agree with you, but when you buy something you are trusting they are selling you something that is a good product.

My WHOLE thing about all of this, is that car he purchased from Balboa almost killed him. There is nothing funnny about that.

Funny!

First off, I don't own the store. Secondly, if I was to defend the store against a lawsuit from you, all I would need to do is pull out the paperwork, the signed disclosure sheet and CASE CLOSED! However...you are absolutely correct in your remarks about the selling of junk cars. The Sleazy American Car Business has a well deserved reputation. Any reputable dealer should have good, safe cars for sale. The key word is "reputable". Not many people in that SLEAZY sector of retail are reputable. That's why all of us need to be smart consumers. However, when it comes to cars, far too many people either fail to use common sense or have no clue what they are doing!

My Answer!

AUTHOR: Loveon - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, June 04, 2018

So, that is your response? Asking if he has read the disclosure. Yes, He did read it, and yes I am aware of that disclosure as well!! No one is saying that he should be entitled, what I am saying is even if the darn car was "SOLD AS IS" you should still be SOMEWHAT responsible to try and fix whatever is wrong with it....Don't you think the CAR should have been running longer than 2 days, before it started showing problems/issues? Isn't that why people come to you for a second chance and get a reliable CAR? You sold a car that wouldn't even pass emissions, (Lemon) and a slew of other problems/issues and you think that is OK?  So, by your response, that tells me that me making my report STANDS AS IS. Any reputable car dealership would have tried to at least correct whatever the issues my be "SOLD WITH A WARRNTY OR SOLD AS IS". That is what makes a good/great car dealership!! Not the way your company has treated and ignored my son and his concerns with the car (which again almost killed him). You must have NOT read that part. WITH A WARRANTY OR AS IS, the car my son purchased from Balboa is a piece of crap, and you know it! If something would have happened to him while driving that car, you would be dealing with more then this report!

One Question

AUTHOR: Perry Mason - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, June 04, 2018

Did your son even bother to READ the disclosure sheet as to whether this was an "As Is" purchase or did it include a warranty? If it was an "As Is" purchase, why would you think he is ENTITLED to free warranty service? All this would have been explained if he would have read what he was signing!
