BioFlex Laser Therapy Devices SCAM
I am a medical laser engineer. I have studied the BioFlex Laser devices and they are NOT lasers. They incorporate arrays of
LEDs, but NO laser diodes. Some of their LEDs may be narrow bandwidth LED light emitters but they are NOT monochromatic laser diode emitters like those used in lasers. LEDs cost just pennies each to buy, but laser diodes cost in the hundreds to thousands of dollars EACH to buy. Their devices incorporate hundreds of "diodes" but not 100's of laser diodes. BioFlex devices are, at best, no more than a glorified "heat-lamps". In fact, the FDA Clearance it (and its Predicate Devices) received is just/only for the "manufacturers claim" of, "to provide topical heating for the purpose of elevating tissue temperature". How can they call them therapeutic medical laser devices, and how do they get away with making all those exaggerated "medical claims" (in direct VIOLATION of FDA rules and Guidelines) when treatments with their devices can give no more benefit than going out, standing in the sun, and getting sweaty?

response to "laser" engineer

AUTHOR: george - (USA)

You obviously didn't spend any time investigating this product "laser engineer". There are two devices: LED array with both 635 and 830nm LEDs and the LASER PROBES are sold as a seperate product also either 635 or 830 nm. Simple - you just have to know what you are posting about.

AUTHOR: Braininjuredchild - (Canada)

POSTED: Saturday, July 23, 2016

As much as I was thrilled with the results your treatments have made for my brain injured daughter, the treatment of her by your staff was unacceptable. Your staff were rude, belligerent, unprofessiional and incompetent. From the staff member who soLD us on the therapy and could not deliver what he promised, to your front staff person Heather who treated my brain injured child with such rudeness and distain when she couldn't remember simple instruction, part of her brain injury, to the weekly struggle of booking and keeping appointments promised and arranged by your own staff....This child traveled from St Catharines to Etobicoke (3-4 hours return trip depending on traffic),  to be seen by you and your staff. Not one time, other than the initial appointment, was her treatment scheduled and kept by your staff, as promised, day to day or week to week.

Even her at home therapy was not managed as promised. If it were not for the amazing results we would not have done business with you!!  Your treatment is a 12 out of 10. Your clinic and service provided is 2 out of ten. Any business as poorly run, lacking customer service to the degree that yours does, and costing as much as yours does, would be out of business Because people would not put up with it!!  However, since you are dealing with our most vulnerable (injured adults and children), and you are selling hope, most will put up with the horrible treatment just to get well....as we did for our child.

I have been in the service industry for most of my working life, and I can honestly say that in my 40 plus years of servicing the public and many more as a consumer, I have never experienced the level of incompetence we as a family experience at your Etobicoke Clinic. I have stated this to your staff directly verbally and in written form, and copied you each time. It is my hope that we can talk about this bad experience so you aim to make it better for those coming after us.

BioFlex Laser Therapy Treatment

AUTHOR: BioFlex Engineering - (Canada)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 09, 2012

Recently a commentary about the Bioflex Laser Therapy System was published on a website.  The author of this publication unfortunately cannot be identified, which questions his motivation and knowledge.  He states that he is a Medical Laser Engineer but does not reveal his name.  It is
unusual for an author to post something on a website without identifying
themselves appropriately.

By way of rebuttal with regard to certain comments made, our devices are athermal.  The diodes that we use are significantly more expensive than intimated and they are used in conjunction with Laser diodes up to 200 milliwatts in power.  The treatment arrays that we use generate over 2,000 milliwatts of power, which is significantly more than stated in the article.

Some of the diodes incorporated in the Bioflex System cost up to $750.00 per unit.
Also, there are a number of proprietary aspects with respect to our
technology, which we cannot reveal but will be pleased to discuss on a direct
basis with knowledgeable, well-intentioned individuals.

For anyone wishing to be educated with regard to Laser Therapy, our certification course, our website and our staff are available to perform that function.  Our
therapy, which is highly effective without engendering any adverse effects,
relies on a somewhat complex application of Red and Infrared LED arrays along
with high-power Laser Probes.  The methodology is highly sophisticated and far advanced with regard to competing products.

The technology has been developed over 21 years at Ryerson University in Toronto
and at our current, corporate headquarters.
We also operate 2 Laser Therapy clinics and administer up to 800
therapeutic sessions on a weekly basis.

The results that we obtain in many of these challenging cases can frequently be described as dramatic and has attracted the attention of the medical profession around the world.  Our units at this time are being utilized in 50 countries in university hospitals and an extensive number of high level clinic settings.  Physicians, physiotherapists, chiropractors, naturopaths and many other healthcare professionals find that it enhances their scope of practice and delivers highly
effective therapy when pharmaceuticals and conventional therapies are
ineffective.

The commentary originated by a so-called
Medical Laser Engineer is clearly inappropriate and may be considered libelous.  The host of this website is clearly complicit in publishing inappropriate comments of this nature without objective,
professional review.

This performs a disservice to the public, medical technology and must be presumed to be based on ulterior motives.

On a final note, how does one deal with critiques written by anonymous people that are grossly inaccurate and with an obvious view to creating harm?  In the
age of information technology this would appear to be a serious problem as
rumors and falsehoods can be printed with impunity.

Should one initiate a lawsuit for deliberate misrepresentation or should this be dealt with by governments, police forces, etc?  The answers are not entirely clear, however they must be addressed. A lie oft repeated can become the truth.
The potential harm of this type of activity to society is infinite and
matters of this kind must be dealt with expeditiously.

BioFlex Laser Therapy Treatment

AUTHOR: BioFlex Engineering - (Canada)

POSTED: Monday, September 24, 2012

Meditech International Inc. would like to respond to the report by Lee Braun posted July 14, 2012

The BioFlex Laser Therapy treatment outcomes are a direct result of progressive, multistage protocols using low level light from red and infrared diodes and laser diodes.

Depending on the pathology and response of the patient to LED treatment arrays red and infrared laser probes are used to allow deeper penetration of light energy into the tissue.

Heat is a byproduct of the diode energy conversion and
helps to raise the tissue temperature for additional healing benefits.

The combination of light emitting and laser technologies
and protocols allows the BioFlex system to deliver best in class results and
make it a leader in the area of low level light therapy.
