I was searching Craigslist for an apartment to rent and saw a two bedroom condo listed. I send an email asking more information, and got a LENGTHY response. In it, she named REMAX and spoke of tenant protection and such. She also said she was in texas taking care of the only family she had so she would not be able to show me the place and would instead forward the keys to Remax so we could be shown. Remax was called to verify the information, and right off the bat they said it was a scam. Their Legal department read the email and also told us it was a scam and recommended we post this here to warn others of this Brenda Mattew.
