These problems were easily avoidable with just three mouse clicks. At the bottom of the home page of this merchant are the trademarked seals of three security assurance programs. Anyplace where these seals are displayed online, you can click on them to receive instant popup verification of that site's legitimacy.

In the case of this site, none of the seals worked. The McAfee "seal" on this page can even be copied and pasted elsewhere, something that is never possible where it is used legitimately.

This "merchant" supplied you with the tools to reveal his own shortcomings. All you had to do was use them.
