Recently contacted by this company stating my husband owes $5738.92( including interest and penalities) on a 13 year old account that we believe was charged off. We have purchased 2 vehicles and a home and never knew this account existed. We're going to fight this of course. Any suggestions?

After reviewing the posts on this site regarding CAMCO, we did a bit of investigating on our own. We do not owe this debt and have written Cease and Desist letters to be delivered Certfied Mail Return reciept requested. Hopefully that will put an end to this blackmail.
