I ordered the 30 day trial of Carlton Sheets using my debit card. When checking my bank balance, I found that I was overdrawn due to two charges that I did not authorize, $96.00 from Fortune Builder and $25.23 from The Hume Group, Inc.
I did receive information from them about a trial program but nothing about how much the cost of what they offered. I did not respond to their mail at the time received, thinking it was just more junk mail. When I found out they had charged my bank account I contacted them and they did give me credit but unfortunately it created 4 overdraft charges.
The Hume Group / Successful Investing & Money Management gave me credit less $3.90 on 10/24/02 of $21.33 and then charged $25.23 on 10/25/02. After this I had my bank with their advise to cancel the debit card because of possible fraud. Hume Group was contacted and told of the overdraft charges and told me to send them a bank statement with my balances and a letter from the bank indicating that the bank had not reversed the overdraft charges. On 11/04/02 I received correspondence from them that they needed another credit card number because the debit card was not honored for another $25.23 they were charging.
I have not returned the Carlton Sheets materials, they were contacted before the charges above were discovered and extended my time to review the materials until 11/13/02. After talking with them again about them giving my debit card information to the other companies without my knowledge, they said to let them know if my overdraft charges were not reimbursed.
Unfortunately due to this experience do not care to even check out the materials from Carlton Sheets or take the time and expense to return the product before they reimburse my funds.
Please help me with any suggestions you may have.

Carlton Sheets, Fortune Builder, The Hume Group requested a bank statement !
AUTHOR: - ()
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, December 04, 2002
Received statement from The Hume Group wanting another credit card number to charge again, since I canceled my debit card due to previously unauthorized charges from Fortune Builder and The Hume Group. The Hume Group requested a bank statement and letter from my bank before they would reimburse my overdraft charges. I will not send them a bank statement.
Returned Carlton Sheets materials, unopened by UPS, insured with tracking number, after that, received statement from Professional Education Institute dated 11/21/02 requesting another credit card number to charge payment due to their attempt being declined on the canceled Visa check card.
If I had not canceled the check card, I would now be out about another $100. I wonder when the billing of returned canceled items stop.
