Shopped at Coventry Food Mart on 2780 Mayfield. Came out to find they had issued a ticket for parking on private property. I was parked on private property, namely the Coventry Food Mart parking lot where I had just shopped! The employee, Kumar was just as baffeled. He said he did not call the police on me. (Obviously...)

Owner paid for ticket

AUTHOR: Hans - (United States)

POSTED: Thursday, November 09, 2017

Chaiya, Thank you for your input. The space is owned by the store owner. The owner reimbursed me for the ticket. Good luck disputing tickets from Cleveland Heights. Even the store owner did not want to deal with that. Easier to pay the ticket and they know that.

If not legit, you may dispute

You should dispute the ticket if you think it is illegitimate. You may need your receipt from the store and a photo of where you park. It is possible that the city police wrongly identify the parking space. However, it is possible that the parking space you parked may not belong to the business you went in (but it might not be obviously marked).
