I got the same letter today and check for $4995. $300 probation pay. $4440 money gram to transfer, $150 money gram service fee, $105 funds for shopping @ home depot, k-mart...

I am taking this check and the paper work associated with to our local police department. This is just wrong of them and it needs to stop.

How do you know for sure this is a scam. I got the same check written on Bank of America check - a very well known bank. I took the check to my bank and they verified that is is was a live check and deposited it. After it cleared, I did what I was told to do and am still doing it and getting paid.
