Signed up for samples end up receiving monthly packages billed to my credit card. Tried to cancel at email adress in comfirmation letter. Unable to connect. Telephone always busy. Unable to stop Cosmetique products from being deliveried or stop billing.

Membership Cancellation

My membership with Cosmetique was handled very well, but you have to be sure that you do cancel at the appropriate time, otherwise YOU WILL be billed for further shipments. I called in to cancel my membership at 11:00 am central time, and the lady representative was fantastic. I give her props for being so friendly. My membership was cancelled, without any problems at all. I think that the consumers should be well aware that any time you agree to be directly billed to a credit or debit card; some times there will be complications with the cancellation process. Though personally, I did not have any problems whatsoever. If you are having complications with a company, persistenly attempt to contact them.

Update on my cosmetique shipment (Rosalinda )

I recieved my cosmetique products. I only paid the $1.00 + $4.95 shipping and handling as I had agreed to do. The invoice that came attached to the package says I owe cosmetique $0.00.
So it seems that as long as you cancel your membership before a month is up, you really can get a makeup kit for only a few dollars without a load of hassle.(plus the free gift)If I had waited much longer to cancel I would have already started recieving monthly shipments for almost $20.00 a piece. So my advice is to just cancel early. (right ofter they charge you the shipping and handling($4.95) and $1.00 for the first kit.)

I opened then cancelled my account with Cosmetique late last night the next day (today)I opened my emails up...This is the information I recieved from them:

Thank you for contacting Cosmetique regarding your membership. As requested, this membership has been cancelled. Your introductory kit shipped out on 10/20/04, and, if you have not already received it, will arrive within 3 to 4 weeks.

If you wish to reopen your account at any time, you may contact us at any time via e-mail or call 1-800-621-8822 to talk to a customer service representative. When reopening your membership with Cosmetique, you have the option of having your future shipments sent with a bill, rather than charged automatically to your credit card. You can also choose to have your shipments sent once every two, or three months, if once a month is too frequent for you. Thank you for trying Cosmetique!
