Our Search for Tutors

AUTHOR: Burt - ()

POSTED: Saturday, August 17, 2013

Hi, this is Burt, the owner of Course Help 911, and I would like to start off by saying that I have no clue why this person has such hatred for me and my company or why he has such a desire to ruin my company's reputation. I have never done business with this person, so he has no reason to be so frustrated with my company.

In the beginning, me and my small group of tutoring associates started doing homework and online exams for other students, we later advertised our services on sites like craigslist to get more clients. We then decided this year to make it a full blown business, so we decided to launch Course Help 911 to reach a wider audience.

I realized that us alone will probably not be able to handle all the requests we may recieve, so I decided to go on craigslist to search for highly educated people to work for us as independent contractors. I think anyone can see that is a very obvious thing to do from a business standpoint and that doesn't make my company a scam. All the tutors that I put on my team are from the U.S., I mostly advertised in the NJ and NY areas.

This person who is spreading all these vicious lies about me and my company being a scam is being very nasty and rude for no good reason. Is it a scam when a babysitting agency hires babysitters to work for them and take a percentage of the money they get? Is it a scam that a tutoring agency charges its clients a slightly higher price than what they pay their tutors? Of course not; that is how business works. Profit equals revenue (aka sales) minua expenses (the tutor's pay).

I was expecting that there would be a high volume of classes to take once the website went love so I decided to post ads for freelance class takers to work for us so that they can take some of the load. That does not make me a scam. Every business does this, when they are low on employees and they are expecting a lot of business, they post help wanted ads.

Like any other business, I talked to the people who filled out the application to make sure they are eduacted, qualified, hardworking, and generally a good fit. I didn't just choose anyone that answered my ads, I want my business to be a good service to needy students so I made sure that the tutors I chose were legitimate.

I and my fellow staff aren't out to screw anyone over; we just want to provide a reliable service for students who need their online classes taken by an educated professional. I understand that some people may have a problem with that and I respect their beliefs.

Students don't have any financial risk when it comes to choosing us. If we take their class from beginning to end and we get less than a B, then we will refund all their money at their request and that is a promise we intend to keep.

Have a good evening.

               - Burt

Craigslist Post

We are not a scam company, we do have tutors but we are expecting a high volume of orders so I was looking for very qualified tutors to handle the expected surplus of courses. It's just like a tutoring agency puts job ads to hire tutors for their company. That is just what I was doing, hiring additional tutors to take online classes for our company. Hiring additional peple to meet the expected demand of customers would not be considered a scam, in fact, it's standard business practice. Besides I don't just hire just anyone to take online classes, I screen them and do an online interview to make sure they are right for our company. I am very serious about my business and I know that there are a lot of scam businesses out there in this industry which is why I want the best online class takers for my company.
