Craigslist new lack of customer service is just very frustrating.
Their canned replies to typical FAQ are not helpful in the rare
cases like mine. I am having issues with validating a
phone number. Tried different ones and followed their
time outs. Their site is generating a code that is TOO
SHORT and their system will not accept it. And I have
tried to COMMUNICATE this to them, all to no avail.
Is there a better or ANY customer service number that
gets some results ?
I know it is free but so are alot of other things.
"Go on the internet and complain"
I did...

Why do you need to call them to post an ad? Generally they will inform you by email why they blocked you. I can't understand why anyone would need to call them for something.
Granted..it is inconvenient that you want to call them and are having trouble..but it can be assumed that since ALL they do is allow us to advertise for FREE..that the only issue someone could have..is that something they want to advertise is prohibited..
Click this link.. What kind of postings are prohibited?
I will also post all contact info..the phone number works..I checked. You must call during business hours or course..and there is no way I can promise you will always get a human on the phone..but the instructions how to do so are easy. You can also email..that is probably the preferred why to deal with them anyhow.. All links are active in this reply. Good luck.

Clarification of craigslist problem

To clarify, the problem is NOT with the type of items I have for sale. Read the complaint. It is for the problems with their phone validation procedure. It is not working, I have tried several times and they can and will not help. So I can not run the ads I had intended. Craigslist has reduced its customer service to the point where it is non existent.

Why couldn't you run the ad on Craigslist??

It is not like their rules are considered stringent. Other then prostitution and counterfeiting (which do continue regardless of Craiglists feeble attempts to prevent it)..what is it that you were trying to advertise that did not meet the EXTREMELY low standards of Craigslist??
I can't even imagine.

criaglist rip off

yes, criaglist ads are free. How much was I ripped off ? Well since I could not run the intended ads, for items I want to sell, start with what I would have made on those sales, plus the time dumped into talking to their people who could not help.
FREE can cost.
Now out of this I found other venues to market stuff.
