Crowdtap does not issue gift cards for surveys.   You comment on polls, photo missions and text challenges related to various brands.  For every answer you accumulate points, every 100 points grants you a sweepstakes entry for a chance to win a gift card.  There are lots of questions on products and sometimes you qualify for free samples.   Photo submissions usually count towards 200 points.   Your chance of getting gift cards depends on your participation on a monthly basis.   EG. I have won $5, $10 and even $25 gift card.  Granted I had accumulated 8000 points in one crowd brand, so that was 80 entries.  

In my opinion, CROWDTAPPERS is legit and is not a ripoff in regards to surveys.  I do know it's disappointing to invest your time for little payoff, but most of the memembers enjoy the social media participation and receiving free samples for review. It's not for everyone, but it's important to understand the terms.
