I hired Clayton to build an ecommerce website for me. He came recommended by someone whose design aesthetic I admired.
We had lots of what appeared to be great creative discussion, and we executed an agreement for him to build the site for around $3500. He asked for $1600 upfront. After receiving the deposit he had a series of "emergencies": sick family, girlfriend issues, etc, and kept propmising to deliver. Finally, he disappeared with the deposit.
I contacted the owner of the company David Alford and he said that Clayton got fired because he was staling their buiness or something.
This is what happens when you don't get a signed contract in the beginning. They will tear you apart and just keep hanging up on you. I threatened to sue them and they are just like, you don't have any proof.

I was not fired from pro web design. I left for several reasons; I was not being paid my commissions, I began to see that he had no intention of ever completing the work promised, as well as a hostile work environment. I truly hope that everyone reads your complaint. I don't think they have a single happy customer. I feel partly responsible for everyone that got ripped off by pro web design while I was there and am truly sorry. Do not do business with this company. I have no clue how they are still in business.
