I too tried debt relievers, fortunately I did not lose alot of money. I tried to cancel with them before the debit date on my account, I e-mailed, faxed and sent a letter with my request, I was told that they did not even have any of my info so they would not be able to take any money, i was reassured of this several times over the phone. When the debit date came up I checked with my bank and sure enough they tried to take my money, I put a stop payment on the debit, so I'm out some service charges and have opened a new bank account. I did file a complaint with the attorney generals office, but no response. Then I got a phone call from another company telling me that they were taking over for debt relievers. I told her that I had cancelled with them and that I had filed a complaint because they are fraud, she told me that Dennis McDevitt had passed away and that the company was no longer in business. I told her that I didn't believe it, that they probably were the same company, different name and that i was going to file another complaint and give the attorney generals office her name and number, I did that and again, no response, but I haven't heard from debt relievers or the supposed new company since. I would appreciate any updates on this company, these people should be in jail..Good luck
