I purchased a set of snow tires from this company and they damaged my rims on my new car, when confronted, the manager screamed and swore at his employees and assured me the owner would "make good". After several attempts to get the owner to pay for the damages, I was left with no choice but to file a claim with the BBB and notify my credit card company. This shop has the worst customer service I have ever experienced, the owner is never there and could care less about his customers. My 30K car is damaged, and I will more than likely have to pay to have this repaired. I would not recommend them to say the least, terrible experience.

this is another case of someone bitchin about something really stupid--how bad were these "scuffs"--they can be buffed out with work---the author makes it seem as though they damaged the wheel being damaged like all bent up and unusable--with wheels--if it isn't a tire machine making marks-it is outside forces being small rocks and over time some wheels lose the clear coat--these are only wheels people!!!!!!!!!

We are truly sorry for your situation. I do recall this situation and when I saw this post the other day I had to research it and post a reply. I still have all the BBB and customer corrospondence in a file for review.

 

We strive for perfection every day at Deerfield Tire and have since 1973. However sometimes one of our staff members can make a mistake.



We apologize for the mistake causing damage to your winter wheels by our tire technition on Feb. 2nd 2008. After being informed of the situation by my manager at that time I recall discussing the cosmetic damage or scuffs on the wheels in the mounting process with you when it happened. Since it was only cosmetic we agreed we were going to wait till summer to have them refinished for you since you would not need them on your car then since these were your winter use only wheels. 

You were going to bring them to me when the season was over and I agreed I would have them refinished for you. 



However I never heard directly from you again. 

The next contact I had on this Issue was from the Better Business Bureau in a letter dated June 20th 2008 indicating your complaint.

 I responded to the complaint to the BBB. on June 25th 2008 Indicating we agreed to refinish the wheels for you and were waiting for you to bring us the wheels so we could have them refinished as we agreed. 


On July the 7th 2008 the Better Business Bureau sent me a final letter on this issue indicating they were closing the case due to fact that they could not reach you and they receaved no further response from you in regards to my reply to your complaint. I tried to reach you by phone also at the time and was unable to make any contact. We are sorry this was not taken care of for you at that time for whatever the reason and I invite you to contact the store any time to resolve the matter.
