Direct Auto Warranty Charged my husband $599.00 for a warranty which I immediately tried to stop payment on when I found out. Too late. Not sure Florida

My husband took this warranty out over the phone, having forgotten he had already extended the vehicle warranty earlier. I tried to stop payment, then was actually able to reach a real person who said no problem, could cancel. I called a couple months later and a real person said it showed cancelled but had not been put through. The next time I called a person said he would have to send the paperwork up to a higher level, still nothing. Now no one will answer the phone so am guessing my husband was scammed.
