As many others have said the lies go on and on from Dirk Meyer! The list of lies told to me to buy at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach are too numerous to list. I was duped by the silver tongued Swiss like countless others. I'm out $7,000 and a bad credit report. I'm fighting this as hard as I can from the US, but doubt it will get resolved. Dirk constantly acts like he is communicating clearly and answering directly, but his answers are always mirky and make little sense, at least in English.

Dirk Meyer, my husband and 3 children and I met you at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach in a timeshare meeting back in 2007. We purchased a timeshare with the promise from you that we could sell our existing timeshare and apply that money to the payment for the new one--- as so many others have reported you and your sales team promote. We also read our contract later and found nothing resembling what you told us and SOLD us verbally. We also contacted you after return to the US wanting to cancel the contract and receive our deposit back. We also worked with a timeshare solutions company to have the contract cancelled although it took a long time and a battle to restore our credit rating. We never received our $5000 back. I still regret being duped by you as you so skillfully and smoothly built trust with us, including inviting us out to your rancho. With three kids now either in college or graduated that $5,000 represents a lot. It lined your pockets. We exchanged numerous emails and some phone calls-- all which we had record of but you and your resort never refunded our deposit. We filed with Profeco and other groups. I have followed numerous blogs about your lying practices. I learned my lesson. But did you? Or is it only when you are caught on video that you decide to make things right?

Happening Again at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach

We are in Cabo as we speak and are trying to rescind a contract we signed 4 days ago -- based upon missing information, a more detailed evaluation of the documents, and of the inherent value of the deal. The staff would not act without Dirk Meyer's autorization, and we were required to sit in his office to listen again to all of the sales reasons why we should not rescind. Afterwards, Dirk Meyer left us sitting in his office and we had to leave when nobody therewould act without his authorization.
We just reached him on the phone and he refused to authorize his people to rescind the contract -- to the point of even threatening legal action by Pueblo Bonito. He even said that he did not have the authority to do so. The point is that in the original sales presentation we were clearly told upon detailed questioning that we had up to 5 days per federal law to rescind, which is the only reason we were comfortable signing on the spot before doing a lengthy, more detailed review. We checked and confirmed that the five day period is in fact an applicable law.
We will e-mail them now to document that we met with thej today and informed them that we have decided to rescind and that we require a full deposit. However, if they do not respond, what should be our next steps? If you have any sugestions, please e-mail us at thomasjstone@earthlink.net
Thanks,
Tom -- also from Highlands Ranch Colorado.

Hey Dirk this just continues the narrative of you being a Liar, because what you say here, again, is not true. I received a refund because of your superiors. I'd still be emailing you today if it wasn't for competent people above you. You are still a d****e Bag! Let there be no question about that.

I am finding myself in a similar situation with PB Sunsent Resort. I am just outside the 5 day window which would allow us to rescind. I have sent a letter to the member services manager and cc'ed my sales rep, but am doubtful that we will make progress to cancel our contract and/or get or down payment refunded. I feel that we were sold this package based on verbal promises for things that we found not to be in the contract. unfortunately, we did not fully read the contract until we returned to the USA and started doing our research. I am wondering if anyone has had luck with the Mexican Timeshare Solutions (timesharescam.com) company at coming to a resolution with Pubelo Bonito to get your contract cancelled. I have read some worrisome things about this group and did not know if they were legit and helpful or another scam.

Pueblo Bonito has decided to refund my deposit and cancel my contract. I have no way to remove this post regarding Dirk Meyer. I can say that removing this post is a condition of their canceling my contract. We will see what happens. I will keep you posted.

Pueblo Bonito Timeshare Scam
AUTHOR: Becker79 - ()

My wife and I bought a timeshare at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach n May 2012. WE are so ashamed that we fell for this deceitful sales practice. Cyndi Johnson sales representative professional liar completely took us for fools so embarrassed. She told us the usual, we bought what we thought was a 1 bedroom for a high week for 18,000 less the cost of our time share that they were going to buy from us leaving us owing 5,000 something and payments for the next 3 years. Supposedly 4 bonus weeks and no maintenance fee unless we use the week. We however signed papaerwork for entirely something else. When we questined her on this she told us this was an old contract and that we had addendums stating the benefits she sold to us. When we got home I started looking over the papaerwork again and tried calling to see if we could use the bonus weeks like she said and basicaly got laughed at. Treid communicating with Cyndi Johnson and she told us we were confused she would have the addendums sent to us. Never to be heard from again. The whole presentation was a scam. We ended up with a syudio, 50 points bi annually weeks 1-50. When we asked why we ever give up what we had week 52, 2 bedrooms, annually she never responded. Of course they had no plans to sell our timeshare again another lie. If anyone has any advice please feel free to respond. We will not go down without a fight. We are working now with Mexican Timeshare Solutions, we are also looking into PROFECO and will continue to haunt them
