Bought a supposedly new Nissan Maxima three months ago. It was sold & represented to me as a brand new car. I recently discovered the front fender had been hit & repaired prior to them selling it to me. Driver side fender had been removed & painted. Two body shops confirmed this for me. I paid THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS for it. Of course I don't want a WRECK. Stay away from this place !

Mileage at purchase

AUTHOR: John - (United States)

POSTED: Saturday, December 29, 2018

Mileage at purchase , including test ride, was 17. Damage was never disclosed to me prior to sale. Car was represented as brand new. The damage waasn't discovered until two weeks after I bought the car. Was looking under the hood & saw the fender bolts had been removed & replaced. Upon further inspection at 2 body shops it was brought to my attention that the fender had been removed & repainted. Driver's side door & hood also damaged , repaired and repainted. When I brought this to the dealership's attention, their reply was " It's still a new car. It's just been wrecked." STAY AWAY from Don Franklin Nissan. Lying thieves !!

Mileage at purchase

POSTED: Tuesday, June 12, 2018

The odometer reading was 17 miles. No disclosure of the damage was made by the dealer. They represented it as NEW at FULL RETAIL PRICE . I discovered the damage a few weeks later when I noticed the fender had been removed , repainted & replaced. Don Franklin Nissan is an underhanded company. Stay away from that place !

Title & New

AUTHOR: Zack - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 09, 2018

The way I understand the way this works is that if a vehicle has never been "Titled" before even if it has 20 miles on it and has had damaged it can still be sold as new.

For instance, I bought a 2014 Honda Civic NEW had 10 miles on it, when the dealer was recieving the vehicle off of the delivery truck the front right fender got scratched. Now mine was noted on paperwork when I bought it is how I knew about the damage. The vehicle was still sold as "New" and I paid "New Price" with a small discount several hundred dollars which isn't much on a vehicle, but I also thought I was given a fair deal.

So in the end the damage should have been told to you or noted on the paperwork somewhere by the dealer.

Mileage at purchase

AUTHOR: John - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 08, 2018

The mileage at purchase time was approximately 20. As I stated before, the car was damaged & repaired prior to my buying it. This damage should've been disclosed to me before purchase. I was charged $30k and led to believe this was a BRAND NEW car. No disclosure of the damage was made until I found it.
