Just common sense

AUTHOR: Sandie - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, November 11, 2011

I'm not sure who Robert is, but he is truly a jerk,  So I say we all just ignore him.

This is not a complaint in anyway against Santander,  I have never had any problems with them, anytime I call I'm treated with respect,  The bottom line is if you have a loan, it's our job to pay them on time, if we do that we won't have fee's attached to the already high interest loan.  Sadly any of us who have a loan through Santander have missed payments on other loans which dropped our credit rating,  luckily I have brought mine back up to 709, with a lot of hard work and paying on time.

Just a small word of advice,  if you do need to contact them for any reason, be respectful, remember these people are just doing there job like we all do,  I work for Kaiser in the pharmacy as a technician ( not on welfare Mr Robert) and I have to deal with the public and believe me it's not easy.

As my Mom always told me " you'll catch more flies with honey then vinegar"... most people will work with you and try to help if your being calm and respectful to them.

Good Luck all :)

Just Look At The Subprime Welfare Types Whine!

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 05, 2011

They put themselves into the position of having to deal with subprime dealers because THEY THEMSELVES destroyed their credit.  Some people with MATURITY realize what they did and work to change all that.  They then improve their credit and eventually buy new cars from better dealers with low interest rate bank loans.

NOT THIS BUNCH!

They destroyed their credit prior to this point by NOT PAYING their bills on time, but rather than learn from that, they continue to not pay on time!  Incredible!  Just take a look at exactly who does the complaining...those who have run up huge additional interest amounts and late fees because they STILL haven't learned how to handle money and credit!

Their complaints?  Calls about collections efforts.  Additional interest and late fees.  All this is 100% avoidable by doing something VERY UNUSUAL...PAYING YOUR BILLS ON TIME!!!

Then we have those without a thimble full of financial education who think something criminal is going on because the lender wants their money, or because the payments are being applied to interest first (which is common place in finance) or because the note is sold.

So go ahead whiners.  Don't make a resolution to pay your bills on time...just cry, whine, complain and whimper about class action suits which is a dead giveaway you haven't a clue what you're talking about!

And no, I don't work for them!

Can't wait until someone files a Class Action Suit!

These Santander people are the worse. I have been going with absolute hell with these people. My last payment was to be August 2011 but was pushed back a month because of a deferment I had last year. I ended with, what I call, phantom fees of over $1000(because there was interest of 15 cents a day) tacked on to the deferment!!!!I was given a re-modification and now the loan will not be finished until Feb. 2012. No where in any paper work did I see anything(this after being instructed by the customer service rep to do so) that says there is interest on the deferment. So, now that I have a re-modified loan, first payment due Oct. 12th, (I paid it on 10/4) I get the new bill with late a fee for August in the amount of $15.14, I called them right away and reminded them that we were in the works of the re-modification, so they tell me its a late fee for the month of Aug. 2011. I made them fax me every stitch of paper(approx. 40 pages) from my original loan way back in 2005 w/ payment history included  up until Aug. 30, 2011 and it clearly has the final amount $1388 of the loan  plus phantom fees and a unpaid late fee of 15.14(that was added IN AUGUST) which brought the total to $1404 which was split into six payments. These f---ers tried to charge me a double late fee for the same month. THE B---- had the nerve to tell me "its only $15" I was stunned, told her I didn't care if it was ten cents & I told her to pay it since it was JUST $15...the nerve! They put me on hold for a long time ( my guess was to take the late fee out of the system) because when I went online the $15.14 late fee had magically disappeared >( !! KEEP EVERY &#&@&*# PIECE OF PAPER THESE PEOPLE SEND YOU, TAKE NAMES AND ID#'S when you call them!! These people are full of ^#@^. They are gonna burn in h-l- for what they are doing to hard working people who are trying to make it!!!

Go Ahead!

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 05, 2011

What late fees have you rung up? What additional interest has been generated by late payments, deferments etc? The loan is owned by them, not you. They can sell that loan to anybody they want as many times as they want. It happens everyday! Since you are so subprime in your thinking, go ahead and let them take the car. Then you can write still aznother report about how unfair they are.

Santander-Citi Financial/Citi Financial-Santander

AUTHOR: Another CitiFinancial_SantanderVict - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 04, 2011
My Husband bought a truck, financed through what was then "Citi Financial", and had it almost paid off, when he decided to trade it in, with a down payment on yet another truck, at which time, he only owed a few payments to have the first truck paid off in full. The truck he traded for was a $4,000.00 truck. Somehow, he ended up with $500.00+ per month payments, which were higher than agreed upon, never the less, he paid them for about 2 years,to the point of having to ask that they lower the monthly payments, to which they only lowered them to $300.00+ per month, and this went on for about 1-1&1/2 yrs, before asking them to yet lower the payments to just under $300.00. At this time, they without notice, turned the account over to "Santander", and sent us a letter to "set-up" automatic bill pay through their website, and they promtly double dipped our account taking out 2 payments, and withholding returning the extra payment to us until it was to be due, and caused not only our account to be over drawn, but over draft fees, as well, which also caused everything else we were paying, including utilites, to have all bounced payments, bounced check fees, and late fees as well. and We haven't caught up from this yet.

My Husbands health started failing him, as all of this time, he's been a 100% disabled Veteran, who's been fighting with the V.A. to recieve his proper benefits, to this date. So, we asked that they defer a payment and change the payment due date, to become due at the begining of the month to corrospond with his check, and to be about $147.00. So far, to this date, his $4,000.00 truck is still considered as not paid off, and we've looked back and realized that this $4,000.00 truck should very well be paid off by now, and not only that, but it seems that they instead of noting the original truck as paid off, had re-added the entire full price of the first truck, onto the end of this truck's owed ammount as well.

Apparently we've been paying off 2 trucks, one of which was already traded in, and sold to an employee of the car lot, before my Husband ever left the lot with the second truck, so they got money from that man too, or quite possibly are still getting money from the both he and my Husband for that same original truck, plus all they've added on as so many extra fees, and interest, and mystery fees all in all in the meantime. We have a title with leinholder on it, and it appears at this rate, will never, ever, be considered having the truck/s paid off, as they're still claiming more owed monies the more we pay on it, the ammounts of the pay off, and the ammounts of the bills continue to change, and we've asked for verbal agreements, and extentions, and they've agreed to them, but do not follow through or stick to the agreements, and always end up double billing us. We've tried making the agreed upon payments, but they only refuse them. They've called day and night, 7 days a week, and at all hours.

My Husband has even told them at one point when he had purchased yet another truck outright, to just come and pick this one up, he did this for 6 months time ,and they harassed him, until finally they "talked him into" picking back up on paying on this truck again, promising lower payments, and that it would be paid off soon, so he sold the other one as we couldn't afford insurance on 2 trucks. Now, after all this time, they're trying to octuple bill us, and are showing the ammount owed as over 15,000.00.

We don't understand how these people can get away with shifting from state to state, opening and closing and re-opening their doors, either under different names, or selling already paid, trumped up bogus debts to other companies who harass people like us half to death day and night. We just want a clear title before my Husband dies, as his health is in serious decline, and we know that since they're charging him for not one, but 2 trucks, when they've already re-sold the other truck, that he should have a title to at least one by now, since he's paid for 2 trucks for so long, that he only still owed on one of. We would very much be willing to be a part of a class action law suit, although with even the best law firm with a team of attorney's working on the case, they would probably just slip through with a bunch of legal mumbo-jumbo, and mis-use of laws to escape even the most seasoned legal efforts.

Fight Santander/Drive - You have rights!

AUTHOR: DupedbyDriveSantander - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, December 31, 2009

I had an earlier loan with Drive Financial, paid the loan off.  Traded my old vehicle plus put down $1,600 to get a new car in Summer, 2007.

Thank the Lord I always paid more than my payment.  I fell ill in September 2009..Struggled to make a payment of $600 even though my payments was $491.

I have made close to $5K in payments for 2009.  Do you know they "illegally repossessed" my car?

I have reported this company to the Dallas Better Business Bureau, faxing all of my documentation to them, Federal Trade Commission, AND the Texas Attorney General.  Plus, had the audacity to send me a note saying that I will have to pay $2,400 to get my car back by 01/02/10.

Before it is all over with, they will be OWING me money.  Thank God I was smart enough to fax the cancelled checks and wired transfers to Better Business Bureau, and not them...They were so unprofessional, nasty, and "ghetto".  I just decided that I will allow a third party mediator get involved.

I may never get my car and personal belongings back, but, at least they know that I am not playing with them, and there is a possibility that they may owe me money for their idiotic mistakes.  Somebody needs to shut them down, and run them out of business once and for all.

Their bills are not accurate.  They are actually STEALING from customers accounts rather than crediting your accounts...It is best for the CONSUMER to keep up with their OWN payments, and accounts than dealing with those incompetent people.  I can't believe that they are still in business operating like that.  GOOD LUCK!
