Confirming that East Coast Travel Club, AKA www.A2ZVacations.NET in NC is a total fraud.  Note the net in the address, not .com.  I should have known that this was a timeshare type sales pitch with the come on of a free cruise with airfare that of course had a "booking, taxes, etc" fee.  They have a slick 90 minute presentation about A2Z Vacations membership with a guaranteed 10% off the lowest price on any tour, cruise, etc.  It comes with an "initiation" fee of >$8,000 which is quickly reduced for those smart enough not to do it.  We do a lot of travel and the 10% off expensive tours would more than pay for the $2,029 fee and yearly membership of $249.  However, a couple of weeks later when we contacted them at the web site above as well as by phone at 877-211-8738, we were told that they only would match prices which of course you can get for free online at many sites.  We called the person, Jack, who sold it to us and he said to send in the documentation that confirmed this and he would refund the money and credit it back to the credit card.  I had put in a dispute with the credit card and assumed it was all set after I sent him the documentation at the time, and was shocked to hear from the credit card company that they contacted the merchant who wouldn't authorize the credit.  I then sent in all the documents again, with the same verification that they were received, and called Jack from East Coast Travel Club at 855-530-3284 who said he just had to send it to A2Z Vacations and I would get a refund.  This of course has still not happened.  They are not registered of course with the BBB so I contacted the NC Attorney General's office today and filled out a complaint.  Given that it is outright fraud, I thought I was protected with the credit card payment but it doesn't appear so.  Does anyone know about a fraudulent charge on a credit card being protected and refunded?  Thanks.
