As a resident of Carrollwood (Tampa) Florida I was discouraged to learn that the new Emerald Greens Golf Resort & Country Club (formally Carrollwood Village Country club) has taken on the Tampa mob boss Vincent Loscalzo as the "food and beverage director" It makes me wonder how much involvement he has in the operations and finances of this muti-million dollar revamp. And causes hesitation on recommending the use of their vacaton villas to our out of town guests.

Dear Concerned Citizen,
I am a member of Emerald Greens Golf and Country Club. I have been for many years. I find it humorous that you are so concerned about the reputation of the club due to one of the members of its management staff.
In the time that I have been a member, I have seen nothing but improvements upon the quality of the facility, the quality of the service and condition of the golf course. Mr. Loscalzo's work as Food and Beverage manager is tied directly to the successes and improvements of the property as a whole.
Regardless of Mr. Loscalzo's alleged past involvement with organized crime, it has no bearing on his position at the club. For you to be 'concerned' with recommending the facility to other people is ludicrous. Further, your post is dated 5/8/08. Mr. Loscalzo has been in this position for more than 4 years. And now, all of a sudden, you're concerned?
What do you think is going to happen? A shootout between mob bosses in the foyer? Give me a break.
