Five Star Fencing, LLC Took our deposit a year ago, still no FENCE, no REFUND Woodstock, Georgia
*Consumer Comment: Why Did you pay any money up front?
*General Comment: Wow
Back in April of 2011, we made a $2,671.00 deposit on a fence for our home. As of June 28, 2012 we still do not have a fence or a refund. We received multiple phone calls from Mario stating that he would refund the money but he did not. I have filed a Civil Action against him but the sheriff is unable to locate him. If anyone has any information on how to contact Five Star Fencing or Mario, I would greatly appreciate it.

Why Did you pay any money up front?

My fence company, Lawrenceville Fence, has never requested, in fact we will not accept any money up front for any fence. In fact, we only request funds when the fence is completed and the customer is happy. Why would you, and I don't even know you, give someone a check that you have never met before? That's insane. Further, why would you even consider doing business with a company that apparently cannot afford to buy their materials? When people are shopping for the cheapest price, this is what they get -- ripped off!!!

That is so much money to lose, I'm sorry. I couldn't imagine having $2k+ to spend on a fence, much less to lose for no work done. Unfortunately this tends to happen in the construction business. I'd recommend (not that it takes away what happened) using companies on angieslist.com ONLY from now on.
