I attended a sales presentation for a vacation club.  I was not interested at all but they pushed and told me that the CROWN PLAZA HOTEL chain was part of their package and when there was no resort in a city, I could always use the points for the hotel reservation.  I bought a trial package under these assumptions because I had plans to travel to Israel and there was no resort listed for the city and this was their way to convince me.  I paid $1295 and they told me I had to wait 60 days before my travel to maximize my points and be able to reserve.  I have a plan to go on December 1, and so today I called and found out that non of what they told me is true and I can not use the points for any hotel reservation.  I feel cheated and I am not wealthy or have any money to waste like this.  I thought and they convinced me that I can use it as a club member for the CROWN PLAZA hotels any where and they showed that there is a CROWN PLAZA where I told them I was planning to go.  So, I got scammed.  I wonder if there is a way to get my money back?  Can I go through my credit card company?

The gift they promised to give me was from VIP travels, 2 tickets and car rental for a week any where in the US.  I paid $125 processing fee which they said was refundable and even that was a scam.  This was to a company in Florida.

I feel like a fool.

Susan
