Greyhound buses charge an $18 fee on any ticket you purchase for someone else on your credit or debit card. It's outrageous. I was getting my girlfriend a ticket to come see me and the ticket was 23 dollars and some change. But since I was paying for it on my card, her ticket was charged an additional 18 dollars for what they call a "gift ticket fee". this is absurd, I could see like a 2 dollar fee or something small but not 78% of the price extra. i will be using amtrak and other bus companies from now on.
