Harley Acres Filas John Barrett Robin Barrett CC Fraud Irwin Pennsylvania

I find it very odd that the author of this complaint signed his name John Irwin, Pennsylvania USA  That is the same first name and address of one of the owners of Harley Acre Filas. Did we get a bit flustered when we were filing our false complaint about this company ? And just to set the record straight we have never misused our priveledge of processing credit cards. Other breeders got upset and tried to say people were impulse buying because they could use a credit card. When that didn't work they decided to say we were defrauding people which of course was not true. Nice try John from Irwin

This is so far from the truth and is being done out of jealousy and spite. This is a breeder that has been around for almost 20 yrs. They produce healthy and happy animals and bend over backwards to serve the Fila community. I personally know Robin Barrett and own 3 of her Filas. The oldest is 11 and the youngest 6 months. She has always been there for me. These accusations of credit card fraud are bogus. Do you really think someone could do this and continue doing business. Bad checks ... how is it she writes bad checks. Isn't it the buyer that writes the checks ? Why would she be writing bad checks. Denigrates the competition > I'll give you that one because the woman does have a backbone and will stand up for herself. It is why she is very well known in the Fila community. She will not sit by and allow any of you to slander her or her dogs. Harley Acre Filas is one of the oldest Fila Brasileiro Kennels out there and the quality of her dogs says it all. As a Fila owner I have visited many forums and websites regarding this special breed including the HAF forum and other groups and have witnessed on several occasions inflamatory discussion regarding other legitimate breeders without merit. If you are a potential buyer of a FILA, please join as many discussion groups/forums as possible, the breeders are on there, search the threads and ask yourself who would you want to deal with if you have an issue with your Fila after the purchase. I would never purchase a FILA that doesn't meet the standards or if the breeders are unprofessional

I have been to the breeders many times and have to say I am very impressed with what John and Robin do at Harley Acre Filas. Not only are John And Robin two of the kindest breeders I have ever met, they are very clean smart and caring. I believe this report was made in error. Harley Acre Filas produce very healthy fila with some of the best temperments I have ever had the pleasure to know. There care for their dogs is excellent. They keep their place very clean and have a lot of respect for all of their dogs. They have been a huge help in connecting me with my favorite dog ever. Braz has the best temperment I have ever seen. She is now three years old never been sick. I have seen all of John and Robins dogs and all I can say is they are the beez knees when it comes to breeding filas. Myself having seen a few brutal onslaughts by this Harley Acres, with what can be categorized as nothing more than a "White Trash Attack", I would seriously question buying anything from them. I have read some of the trash that goes on, on their forum, and the behavior I have seen of them on their forum, as well as have had in telephone conversations with them...leaves me with the impression of anything but professional.

I had seen her "clan" take out and attack another breeder a while back. They stated that this breeders dogs were dangerous, mis-advertised, mis-represented, and the list goes on and on. Fact is, I went to that breeders home, seen their dogs, and they were EXACTLY as had been stated. In my opinion, Harley Acres was merely threatened by the fact that this other breeder was selling dogs to customers they couldn't, and through their "white trash tactics" they tried to slander this other breeder.
Myself having seen what I did, I spoke with this other breeder, (which let me to purchase his puppies) as well as a number of other Fila breeders, and had came to the informative opinion, that while Harley Acres is well known, they are not well respected by many other breeders in the industry. I need not name names, just call around and ask for yourself.

The people that posted here are thugs. When posting malicious lies on the internet didn't get the results they were looking for, they lied to the authorities and said they were selling drugs and guns! You can call the local police to confirm this.


Nothing is further from the truth. They raise beautiful dogs in a clean and healthy environment - give one of the best guarantees in the breeding industry and are beyond honest! I would NOT hesitate to buy a dog from this breeder! You can't go wrong getting a puppy from here - the proof is in visiting these wonderful people.

I have been acquainted with Robin and John for almost 2 years now. I am not best friends with them or a neighbor. I have been lucky enough to purchase a beautiful healthy puppy from them. They offer a great guarantee on the puppies they sell as well as ongoing advice with your puppy and adult dog. You can go to their kennel which is located at their home if you choose to pick up your puppy or they will drive hours to deliver them to you. They educate you on the the Fila breed as well as the responsibilities that go along with these guardians. Now I do not post any comments on the website but I do read comments and as far as I can tell the times Robin has made negative comments about any breeder she has backed them up with pictures or complaints of others as well as knowing the breeder. And if Robin or John havent heard or do not know the breeder they usually do not comment. Now if they were or are using another CC company who cares if that is the worst thing you can say about them how pathetic. To me it sounds like you are another one of the long list of Puppy mills churning out dogs for profits with comments like that. And yes Harley Acres Fila is far from a puppy mill. You will do yourself an injustice if you love the Fila Breed and do not give Robin and John a call. My dog Kaos I purchased from them is one of the most beautiful Filas, I am always being stopped on the street by people who ask to take pictures of him and what type of breed he is.
