ISSUE 1:These apartment rentals under prior management, was responsive to tenant issues and did not show a tendency toward a particular type of cultural bias, one way or another. This has changed. Many tenants are experiencing issues related to excessive NOISE. The walls are thin and anything beyond a reasonable level of sound necessity causes the offended party to experience a thundering effect from the bass. Management has been alerted to this issue and it simply has fallen upon deaf ears. At the same time, certain tenants experience a higher sense of urgency when it comes to their concerns and there is a cultural denominator inclusive of this response time.

The rent at these units can reach upwards toward $1000.00. At these rates, one would expect nothing less than great tenant customer service on any issues. The rental agreement implicitly puts one on notice that excessive noise is not allowed. Part of the inducement to live in this apartment was supposed to be a very nice apartment community. This is no longer the case, until management gets off their a*s and get these and many other issues under control. I will not be renewing my lease this year after over 5 years here at Hawk Ridge Apts.  I would advise anyone to look elsewhere before considering Hawk Ridge Apartments as a potential place to live. At these prices please consider other communities closely also. There is another issue also:

ISSUE 2: In a society in which so many young children are dealing with the onset of juvenile diabetes to include obesity and the many consequences that arise from it.  The one thing you would'nt want to do is remove a great source of exercise for the kids, especially one that is frequently used. Here at Hawk Ridge Apartments, management took it upon themselves to completely remove a very nice basketball court. Reason? Because of visitors from neighboring communities. Kids who were completely harmless no doubt. No incidents!  Under the old management, there were no issues at all as they referenced kids playing on the exercise court at Hawk Ridge Apartments. Many of the kids from the neighboring apartment communities were of varying ethnicities, and it was this that was part of the motivation to remove the basketball court.

Another reason was management eager to please her superiors at the expense of the kids. I spoke with some of the kids and many of them were heartbroken, angry and stated that their parents were equally so affected. Many stated that this was the reason they chose Hawk Ridge Apartments to live and they felt like the rug was pulled from under them. Ultimately kids who were benefiting from an established exercise regimen are now left to the mercies of television as a very unacceptable alternative.  The basketball court was replaced with a cook-out area.  If you have children this community is not one that takes their health or well being, into consideration. I also observed a very young girl sitting in the cold waiting for her parent to come home. When asked why she didn't go and wait in the office as she was crying..She responded that management did not want kids in the clubhouse area. This was a very cold day!! I simply couldn't believe what I was hearing.

Please consider these factors when you decide on an apartment community in which to live. It could save you a lot of time and dissapointment.

HAWK RIDGE IS A GOOD COMMUNITY

AUTHOR: MVau777 - ()

POSTED: Monday, January 27, 2014

I ran across this posting and I must say I was somewhat shocked. I titled my rebuttal as such above for the purpose of not further empowering the original posting in Google Search.  Speaking on behalf of the community on a whole; HR is a good place to live. Sure there are issues that arise from time to time. What apartment community doesn't have them? As for my wife and I, because of a lifestyle of continuous learning, the few issues we have had were always resolved effectively. There was also follow-up. We think the HR community is well suited for anyone looking for a nice quiet community with people who respect you and your property. Management is doing a good job and it is appreciated. For the individual with the narcissistic personality, may you one day find the light on your road to Damascus.

What....

AUTHOR: Tyg - ()

POSTED: Monday, January 27, 2014

I have read your post and all I can say is SO WHAT!!! The walls are paperthin. Ok we get that, but what exactly do you expect them to do?/ Rip down the walls in every unit?? Not going to happen. Its not cost effective. As for them taking the basketball court out, yet again SO WHAT!!! If kids from OTHER apt complexes were comming over to play on THAT apt complexes court, then they are using for free what YOU the tenant is paying for. Thats UNFAIR to you. So they take out a basketball court that is drawing in kids who do not live there and replace it with a BBQ setup. Did you ever think that is what THE TENANTS have asked for?? No instead of using your brain, you jump to conclusions assigning machivellian motives to what they are doing. When what they are doing is trying to improve the complex for their tenants. Sounds to me that NOTHING they do is going to be good enough for the likes of you.

Besides ALL of that. Its THEIR business. If anything happend to one of those kids who was using the court and NOT a family member of a tenant, the apt complex would be legally and financially responsable. So instead of having those children arrested and removed, they replace it with a grilling setup. That looks to me to be a more family freindly thing to do. As a basketball court only has a one or two uses. A BBQ setup allows for the tenants to grill and entertain when guests come over.

And not to put to fine a point on this but why would you expect that the apt complex is supposed to look out for "Childhood obesity". Its NOT their responsability to do so. That falls SQUARELY on the PARENTS. You have used quite a few circular logic arguments to attempt to support your complaint. You are complaining because they cant do anything about the walls, and they changed a slab of concrete into something everyone can use. Like I said, sounds like NOTHING will make you happy.

But there is no ripoff here. It is not a scam for them to attempt to make the place BETTER. Youre just stuck in some dark age that wont let you accept that change happens. Life goes on. If you aint happy there then find some other place to go so you can then hop on the web and complain.

The only FACT that the people who are looking to rent needs to consider is NOT your complaint but will the apt fit their budget and needs.
