This company has been deducting $9.95 a month from my checking account for three months (shame on me). I have never ordered anything from them. I am unable to get in touch with the company reps and my only recourse is through my bank. How has a scheme like this one been allowed to exist for almost three years?

I was able to get hold of the company and it turns out that if you order a movie from them, which I did, they automatically enroll you in their club with a $9.95 monthly fee unless you call them and tell them not to. They are going to refund my past three charges, but I thought it was illegal to automatically sign someone up for a service that they did not request. Anyway, case closed.
