Humana Medicare Advantage Possible Misrepresentation of Terms of Group Health Insurance Plan West Allis Wisconsin

Humana Medicare Advantage As of July 1, 2018, my previous employer switched the retiree health insurance plan to Humana Medicare Advantage. In general, the new premium was comparable but the co-pays on generic prescriptions was about 3 times that of our old Anthem plan. OK, I could live with that. But recently, I had a prescription filled for a generic drug prescribed by my physician. I had been taking this drug for years but I realized that my co-pay would be higher. I did not expect, however, to be paying 6 times more than I did under my Anthem plan. That's because - as my pharmacist informed me - that Humana refused to cover the cost of the generic but, instead required the pharmacy to substitute the BRAND NAME drug. I am aware that the insurance companies negotiate prices with the drug companies but I smell a rat here.
