I-SATILLITE-DISH NETWORK I canceled fron Dish network early so had to pay $200.00 ,fine-didso got a letter from Sandy Utah

i see that you honored your contract by paying the early termination fee with dish network. you must have read the contract before you signed it. according to the dealer rules with dish network. the dealer must have 2 copies of the contract and have the customer sign both copies. then leave one signed copy with the customer. in all the paper work you have did you sign anything that had i-satelites name one it stating the fact they would charge you an early termination fee. if they didnt have you sign anything and i would ask for proof form them with your signature on it. if they only have a signed copy of the contract with dish network ( the dealer is required to maintain the copy of the contract for their records ). i dont see how they can take the dish network contract to a collection agency as proof on their part. the contract is between you and dish network. the installing delaer would have had to state something on an invoice they provided. then have you sign it and if they leaft you a copy of the dish net contract. then they should have left you a copy of their contract or invoice stating what they would do in case of early termination. their must be a consumer protection act for your state. if you have no invoice stating this fact and they wont provide you a signed copy. i would go to the attorney generals office. also with the way computer technology is now. i would make sure they didnt copy and paste you signature off the dish network contract onto and invoice of theirs.you see no one ever signs their name the same.
