A few years ago, I opened an account with them only having a 70-75 dollars balance, now I am getting calls from some law firm saying that I owe 3000 , because they made a fraud claim against me, but they want at least 1000 to settle out of court, it didn't have my updated address to serve this so called summons.... is this even possible. Can they do that?

It's happening to me now. My imagine card was closed by the company. The lawsuit is filed as if the charges were made to a tribute credit card. Be wary Imagine/ Tribute/ (bank of delaware) are selling these accounts to other companies for pennies on the dollar and courts are allowing these companies to sue for the full amounts to include late fees, monthly fees even after account has been closed.
