Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...
Husband had accident on PA turnpike. 911 called the tow company. Tow company had to flip car back over since it had landed on it's roof. They are charging $1000.00 for the flip and tow of approximately 10 miles!!! We called and they said that is what it is. Since it took them hours to figure out how to flip it back, they are charging us for the time it took. What??? Not our fault they are incompetent. They didn't even bring a wrecker, just regular tow truck. Even AAA says it is outrageous. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. They are crooks.

Captive Audience on the turnpike

The turnpike is a private road. The turnpike and the turnpike ONLY, decides who is allowed to provide services on its roadways. In short, you have no choice in the matter as to who will show up when you need a tow.
When you have this situation, you have a captive customer base. In this situation there is little to nothing that you can do to protect yourself from being gouged. It is time for the state of PA to recognize this situation and provide a solution via its PRICE GOUGING ACT of Oct. 31, 2006, P.L. 1210, No. 133 OR its PENNSYLVANIA UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES. AND CONSUMER PROTECTION LAW. § 201-1.
Where there is a situation like this there is usually some lavish gift giving or kickbacks. The whole thing stinks to high hell.
