Ken Hughes With Mercents' Pinnacle Credit Services Credit Guide And The Client Being Pinnacle Credit Services Pinnacle Credit Services, Providian Bank, Ken Hughes Ripoff Chicago illinois
*Consumer Suggestion: Pinnacle
I received notice 2-8-07 telling that their client Pinnacle Credit Services wants me to pay $815.45 and I have to contact them promptly. They stated that the original creditor was Providian Bank. My credit report does not list these companies anywhere and I have never heard of these companies until yesterday. This claim is a fraud.

#1 Consumer Suggestion
Pinnacle

Pinnacle is a collection agency that buys old debt. If it's not showing up on your credit report, it may be something from years and years ago. If you had an old debt, they may have sold the account to Pinnacle.
The good news is you probably will not have to pay anything to Pinnacle. If it's not on your credit reports, then it's probably over 7 years old and the statute of limitations has long since run on it. They cannot get a judgment against you for debt that old.
If they contact you again, tell them you are disputing the debt.
Do not send them any money. The minute you do, you are starting the statute of limitations all over again and it can sit on your credit report for another 7 years.
Check websites on fair debt collections but don't send them money. You can write them and tell them you have no outstanding debt if you want. Make them prove it. But if it's that old, they can't get a judgment against you anyway so who cares if it really happened or not.
