LOA - Lady of America Ripoff contracts, they can not be cancelled. Promise one thing but have you sign a contract with completely different terms San Antonio, Texas
*Consumer Comment: If you want to know about this fitness center call julie.
This location is a total ripoff. The worker promised my wife she could cancel the contract at any time and only pay a small cancellation fee. She persuaded her to buy the 3 year contract with these promises. The contract she was actually given to sign was a no cancellation contract. The paper work that showed she could cancel was only for "show" to deceive and rip off potential clients and NOT part of the contract. Stay far away from this place. They are nothing but liars and thieves.

I have seen a lot of gyms and fitness centers that have very shady dealings with their customers and ran into quite a few places that want to lock you into a contract. Everyone should know that the entire purpose of a contract is so that neither party can get out of the agreement for the specified amount of time. If you and a another party make any oral agreement you should always have it added to your contract and not just take their word for it. Always read the entire contract.
I got curious after this report and called this health center my self. I wanted to hear for myself that i could get out of a contract for a fee at anytime. I was never told that at all. When i called, i told them that i was thinking about getting my wife a membership for her birthday (my wife would kill me if this was her birthday present). She told me about the different plans that they offered and that with there 3 year plan there was no start up fee. I then specifically asked if i could get out of the three year contract if my wife did not like it. Very bluntly i was told no. And she recommended that i take the month to month plan that they offered. It was quite a bit more expensive of course but she did not try to deceive me at all.
I do not like it when the sales people at these gyms deceive consumers and by no means am i saying that this did not happen to you as i do not know which employee you talked to.
What i am saying is that this kind of deception occurs at all the fitness centers all around the country, However I found a very honest and strait forward employee when i called this one.
Her name is Julie and i believe anyone who speaks to her will be satisfied with her customer service skills, and her honesty about the fitness center she works for.
