Junk Wheel Bearings

I could be wrong, but it sounds like they used the junky wheel bearings which came with the rotors, rather than reusing he old one's or replacing them with a good factory or Timken wheel bearing/race set. I've seen those crappy bearings litteraly tear up and fall apart in a 3 week period. It doesn't surprise me that they heated up and messed up the spindle. If this is the case, this facility should have known better. They really should have charged you a little bit more the first time around when you replaced the front brakes and charged you for a better inner/outer race set. If they left the junk quality bearings in there in an effort to get more money out of you, they certainly succeeded.
Ball joints are normal wear and tear items, and $600 for uppers and lowers is perfectly reasonably priced. As for the engine misfire, that's in no way related to anything this facility did to your brakes and ball joints. Honestly, that was probably just coincidental and a matter of time. But, failed to mention the repair they charged you $700-800 for???

I would say you have a case but the fact that you took your van back to them and gave them even more money to do more repairs after you were disastisfied with the first repair voids out ignorance on their part and places the ignorace ball back in your court.
