On the first week of Dec 2014, the services of Mike Diamond Plumbering were called to repair four (4) clogged waste lines (2 faucets, a tub, and a shower). A plumber from Mike Diamond's company came and serviced the 4 lines. The 4 serviced lines were NEVER TOUCHED/USED since the plumber left. Roughly 2 weeks later, I noticed clear water coming up from two (2) of the sinks, only about 1/3 flooding (so not overflowing). Mind I never touched/used any of the sinks before or after. The next day I noticed the floor/carpet was soaking wet. I opened the cabinet and realized one of the sink's waste lines was actively leaking (it never leaked before in 20 years). We called Mike Diamond and explained the problem and asked them on their guarantee to fix the problem. They said they would "send someone out". No one came, and we called again, then they said someone would "be there at 1pm". MORE THAN FORTY EIGHT HOURS (48 HOURS), with continuous water over-flowing and soaking the carpets (feeding the mold), had passed and NO ONE CAME. I called another plumber (from a different company) and he immediately identified a waste pipe junction that was not screwed in by Mike Diamond's plumber. He was able to stop the leak, but could not explain the cause of the water backing up without anyone ever using it. The carpet was soaked in waste water and mold was growing, it became a hazardous condition and for safety reasons it was removed. SEVENTY TWO (72 HOURS) later, someone from Mike Diamond finally came, and offered to snake the drain again. But he could not figure out what the problem was. He did try to snake it again but it was still clogged and not working.
So to recap: 1. Two lines that were to be fixed by Mike Diamond are still clogged and flooding. 2. Carpet had to be removed due to 48 hours of continuous flooding from a pipe not reattached properly by Mike Diamond's plumber and no one from his company came to identify and stop it. 3. Mold caused by Mike Diamond needs to be cleaned up. 4. New carpet now needs to be baught and put in. At that point all we asked for was PART of our money back, reason, the two other drains seem to drain for now. So we called the manager and explained the situation and they REFUSED to even refund PART of the money that we paid them (we did not even ask for the cost of the mold cleanup and carpet removal and replacement). Not to mention taking and responsibility for putting the residents at serious health risk and even possibly killing the residents.
