Narional Electronics Warranty Refused to honor extended warranty for OfficeMax 12-sheet diamond cut shredder Sterling Virginia
*Author of original report: National Electronics Warranty (N.E.W.) Refused to honor extended warranty for OfficeMax 12-sheet diamond cut shredder Sterling Virginia
On March 14, 2008, my wife purchased a 12-sheet diamond cut shredder from OfficeMax. In Feb 2008, we contacted the warranty number for MaxAssurance 866-805-9095, because the shredder's teeth no longer cut paper. We were advised to call back in a month, when shipping the shredder would be authorized.
On March 23, 2008, we called to ask for our shredder to be repaired or replaced. MaxAssurance told us that the phone call we made in February constituted our one allowed warranty call and no coverage would be provided. Our warranty was null and void.
I would be happy to cooperate with a class action lawsuit.

National Electronics Warranty (N.E.W.) Refused to honor extended warranty for OfficeMax 12-sheet diamond cut shredder Sterling Virginia
AUTHOR: Ron a. - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, March 24, 2009
The manager of the Reno area OfficeMax on South Virginia Street near Meadowood Mall offered to help intervene with National Electronics Warranty (N.E.W. Customer Service Companies). N.E.W. refused to cooperate. The OfficeMax manager then decided to honor the extended warranty as if OfficeMax itself had issued it. He replaced the shredder with another and offered an extended warranty backed by OfficeMax itself!
I congratulate OfficeMax on its very positive response to my issue. I am satisfied with OfficeMax. I will still be following up with N.E.W. regarding its fraudulent response, but my monetary loss is now recovered.
