Hi, Im Jon Muller and I am happy to be able to respond to this allegation from Joe Orlando with Advanced Home Loans in Marco Island Florida. I'm sorry it took me so long to respond, but we at Nationwide Business Credit in Irvine, CA have been busy helping legitimate businesses and their honest owners obtain financing.

Mr. Orlando came in to my world seeking financing for some new office equipment. Joe was very eager to get this done and even provided me with an invoice from the equipment vendor right away. Joe and his company were approved, the financing documents were sent out to him, and he returned them signed along with his required deposit check. As with any financing transaction, the behind-the-scenes paperwork process takes a few days to complete. In these few days, Joe decided that he needed more equipment than he was approved for. I was given a new invoice and I obtained an approval for the additional equipment. I then sent him an addendum to his original agreement because logically, if he's buying more equipment, his term would change as well. Shortly after signing the addendum Joe became increasingly demanding that I pay his vendor with cash right away. In an effort to step in and take any heat off of Joe that he may be getting from the vendor, I called the vendor who left me with serious doubts that the equipment even existed!



The situation became clearer as I put two and two together.



One: Joe had initially informed me that he needed working capital for his mortgage. Presumably, his Real Estate company was falling victim to the housing market at the time and he needed some help. We couldn't get him any hard cash for that situation, nor could any other company at the time.

Two: The vendor who provided me with sketchy invoices to begin with was actually Joe's neighbor.

Three: The vendor was not as interested nor as pressed as Joe made him seem for the funding.



The puzzle sure looked like Joe was in bed with the vendor with fake equipment in an effort to obtain working capitalsomething he couldn't get anyway.



Let me take a moment to remind everyone of how this current housing market disaster started. It is a now widely known fact that mortgage companies were doctoring up their loan papers to make it appear that their clients were more qualified for a loan that they really were. Mortgage guys were flat out lying on financing docs, applications, and more to find ways to obtain loans their clients would have never been able to obtain. If you can't see where this is going or how it ties in, please reread the opening line of this rebuttal and focus on what industry Honest Joe is in.



So was I right? Did I have a chance to see if Joe was trying to pull a fast one on me? Was the equipment real? WE'LL NEVER KNOW! Why? Because of Joe's keen sense that the jig was almost up. After I spoke to the vendor, and was beginning my deeper investigation, Joe called me and said he wanted all of his deposit check back, and that the contracts he signed were invalid. Why were the contracts invalid? (Sit down, you'll love this one) Joe stated quite proudly that he fraudulently signed as the owner for Advanced Home Loans and it was in fact his wife who was the real owner. I informed him we can simply get his wife to sign a new contract and agree to absolve the one he knowingly falsified in an effort to move forward. Joe insisted otherwise. He some how didn't need to pay the vendor anymore and wanted all of his deposit back. Joe was angry. Most criminals are angry when they don't get their way.



Realizing that my suspicions of this deal were all becoming a reality, in an effort to distance myself from such a shyster, I agreed to refund all of his deposit via overnight check immediately. This wasn't enough for Joe though. Joe wanted to know exactly when the check would arrive and who was delivering it. I presume he was making sure it was on its way before our legal hound dogs caught wind of his stench and decided to press charges. Either way, I gave him the information he requested and we overnighted his check to him. It was the next morning that I was informed by a coworker that my name was on this website with this allegation. I immediately called Joe to ask if he received his check. He said yes. I asked him why he made this report and Good Ol' Joe Orlando shockingly denied doing so. What a guyhis user name for Ripoff Report is MOrlando and the allegation is written in first person. I couldn't help but laugh.



Looking back, I wonder if Joe ever got the financing done for his "equipment". A visit to his website proves fruitless; it's no longer in existence.
