We took our car to Senor Stereo in Miami to have a radio installed and we chose them because it was $20 cheaper than anywhere else we could find. Now I would pay $100 more to go somewhere else. They did a terrible job installing the radio but the WORST part is that they damaged my center console and dash board while installing the radio. They denied that they did the damage but they 100% did do it. The manager and installer were extremely rude and ridiculed me in front of other customers because I was trying to get them to do the right thing by agreeing to fix the damage they caused.

They refused and so I will be filing a complaint in court to try to get them to pay for the damage to my car. The manager showed absolutely no professionalism to the consumer. Rather than apologizing and trying to fix it or work out the situation, he completely denied that his installer caused the damage before he even asked his installer. There are so many other places to get this type of work done so DO NOT go to them. I have found numerous complaints against them so hopefully you will believe all of us and take your money somewhere else.

DUE TO VEHICLE USAGE AND NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR NOT SENOR STEREOS FAULT

AUTHOR: senor stereo - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, November 06, 2013

Arnold was a regular customer that had been coming to our store for many years . he works for the fire department and we had also done vehicles on his co -workers. We always gave him special pricing and preference even during busy days . We never had issues with arnold prior to this and he would not of spent $6000 over time if our work or pricing was not good. This complaint is about a 4x4 jeep with all types of extras and large off roead tires.  we did an air horn system 1 year prior and the only location found and approved by arnold was installed in the grill area between grill and radiator . when we installed the horn we added an extra bracket to hold horn away from radiator . his pictures shows the horn with bracket.also after our installation was done a mesh grill was added to that confined area by someone other than SENOR STEREO .after being on the jeep for 1 year and after driving vehicle on and off road the horn in the grill area started to rub on the radiator and a small leak resulted and the AC started leaking . the customer Arnold took the jeep to the dealer where they found the leak and told him he needed a new one totalling $600 installed . Arnold came by the store and asked my manager what we where going to do . We informed him of how unfortunate that the horn had rubbed on the radiator over time and offered to try to reinforce  again and that it could happen again or we could try to find a different location to mount horn.Arnold told my manager that he wanted us to pay for his repair . When i later spoke with arnold and told him that we had taken all precautions on original installation by adding the extra bracket to hold horns away from radiator and vehicles was a jeep and we had no way of controlling usage over time . I told arnold we would help him but didnt feel responsible for the repairs as it was usage over time that caused the problem and we had used reasonable care by adding the extra bracket .After that was said and we didnt agree to pay the $600 repair arnold turned on us after many years of service to him by threatening us with law suits, bad reports, facebook postings ,etc ,help me howard that actually called due to his city connections and we explained to help me howard ( patrick ) the situation and he said it was an unfortunate situation and understood our part and was not doing anything with the story . also an attorney contacted us and we  explained to him the situation and told the attorney that we where not responsible with the damages and we where not going to pay just because of the threats or reviews and postings.we where never sent to court for this . I am a firm beliver if i do a damage to a vehicle no matter the price we will pay ourselves or our insurance . i have always paid for damages over the years . when you do over 10,000 cars a year there will always be some repairs . even the small situations that are not our fault we correct sometimes to not lose the customer . unfortunately with arnold we where not responsible and his repair was to expensive to absorb as a courtasy especially after the threats . i dont believe in giving in to a demand by threats of anytype when i feel i did no wrong . that is why we have this post that i recently saw and i am now responding. we only have 2 ripp off reports after 24 years and over 300,000 cars serviced by senor stereo.  and these are both false reports made against us.that is a very good record.

inaccurate misinformed report

we provided a good service to this customer and this car came with this problem ,we did our research on this vehicle type 2007 altima . there are hundreds of reports online on 2007-2010 altimas that the dash area around radio are starting to melt on there own in high temperature states like florida .people are complaining to nissan that the rubber foam material after years of use start to melt and any touch causes indententions and marks in material to the smallest touch. they say there is no way to fix other than replace dash .they are trying to do a recall for this problem. i have submitted photos of other nissans that have come to the store with the same problem and a video also. if you google nissan altima melting dash you will see many comments. as far as being rude and the bad treatment to her is inaccurate . we where the ones that where having to hear all her screaming and insults to the point that another customer in the store watching this (a federal officer ) said if she kept on he was going to say something to her. we have this officers number for any future referance.she also for got to mention trying to file a police report and police telling her they would not .there has been to date no legal filings by her so we can prove our innocence. we value our customers and know that future business is very important and try to make everyone happy as we want return business . but we where not able with this customer . hopefully they would fined out about the problem with the vehicle and realize it was not due to us. ps the pictures we submitted are of a nissan that came with the same marks as this customer and we have this customers name and number that the car came with the same marks before touching his car. we will gladly confirm this
