booked hotel and got  health got bad and wanted to cancel. i called hotel and woman said there was no refund what kind of hotel is this. i have e mailed them 12 times with no reply from them. what every you do stay away from this dump. i was going to go greyhound and amtrack and they both gave me refunds but this super 8 nothing. like i said they got me dont let them get you

This report was so poorly written I don't even know where to begin.  As a consumer, I always check out the refund/cancellation policy before I book a hotel.  You can check it on the website of any hotel.  You want to know what you are getting into, when you are making a big purchase, such as a hotel.  Some only allow you to cancel up to 14 days in advance, before being charged a night.  Perhaps you cancelled one or two days prior to your scheduled stay, it's possible it was written in the cancellation policy that this is the rule.  The Dells is a large tourist destination, so they need to have rules for a reason.  If people cancelled last minute, they would lose lots of profit, hence cancellation fees.

Nowhere does it say you contact headquarters, explaining your situation.  Had you done your research, perhaps you would have had an easier time.
