On December 19th, 2006 I checked my bank statement online to monitor the balance, and found an unknown and unautorized charge from Terrapass in the amount of $29.95. It made me wonder because the only contact I had had up to that point was through Expedia.com when I booked a flight and added their $5.00 terrapass option. And I had used a different card for Expedia. So it made me wonder.
After checking all of my information nd finding that the $5.00 service was just that, no hidden charges, fees, continuing services, etc... I went to the bank branch nearest my house and got a printout of the charges. From there I returned home and on 12/22 I called the 1877 number for terrapass listed on their website (the number is 18778798026).
It rang about 8 times, then went to a recording stating that if you are calling between the hours of 9am and 5pm that they are currently on the phone and if you leave a message they will get back to you. It also stated that for a faster response to email them at the email given. As this involved a credit card, I do not deal with it through email. I proceded to leave a message stating my name, why I was calling, and a return phone number.
On 12/26 I proceded to leave another message with the same information and I stated that it was my second call and that I would greatly appreciate a response. Once again I did not recieve a timely response, so I caled a third time on 12/28 and also noted that if my call was not returned within 36 hours that I would be filing reports with the approiate agancies. And here I am. It is now January 2nd, 2007 and I have not received any response.

And How Is This Expedia's Fault?
AUTHOR: J - (U.S.A.)

You stated you booked a Terrapass on Expedia, then were charged 5.00, only to find out that Terrapass charged more? Is that correct? If that's the case, how is this Expedia's fault? Because you were the one who booked on Expedia?
